Class Song Ideas?

I'm a senior this year and about to graduate along with about 330 other classmates (woohoo!). I'm also class treasurer, and along with the president, VP, and secretary, have to decide on a class song to be performed by a fellow classmate at our graduation ceremony. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what would bed a good one. We were given guidelines (it has to be approved by our teacher advisers), and they say the ideal song would be something with staying power (in other words, not whatever pop song is in at the time) and that's representative of our class. Our class of 2014 is kind of low on school spirit, but according to our counselors and teachers our stats (GPA, SAT, ACT, AP's, college acceptance, etc.) are unusually high compared to previous classes.

We have a few ideas, but I'd like to get some outside input. Conventional or creative, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And yes, we have considered "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" by Green Day (just like every other school in the country). ;)

Closing Time by Semisonic, In My Life by The Beatles, Home by Phillip Phillips. They aren’t really representative, but they’re nice for graduation.

I hadn’t thought of Closing Time. I love that song. Thanks for the idea.
