One of my summer a classes (specifically GLY1880) has the time of 'tba' and I was wondering if that means it is an online class or just not popular. In the 'seats left' section, there are over 350 and there is no set building for it. Should I start looking for another class or is this normal?

TBA means it is a web section of the class. The lectures will be online.

Okay, that’s what I figured. 2 out of 4 classes I took last summer were online and were great. I’m trying to look it up, but would you happen to know if it costs more to take an online class? Thank you!

Not always. Just look in the schedule of courses and it will show if there are additional fees.

Thank you so much! I am now taking a different science class, one that will cost $4.00 extra instead of $157.00.

Just keep in mind that the books can also make a big difference in the class with a fee. Both the online and live versions can have a substantial cost relating to books or other online access fees that you’ll need.

Thank you for your concern. I’m a transfer student and know never to get a new book if I can help it (I usually rent them). I’m only taking some lower-level science classes to fill out my CLAS requirements. I can get the book for this class for $30, maybe less since summer rentals are for shorter periods. But again I appreciate your help.

Will an elearning section pop up on the first day of classes, or do we need to do something else?

They should show up by the first day or 2.
