I was looking at lectures and discussions for some classes that I wanted to take. A lot of times I had a choice of a 10-minute gap or 1 hour 10 minute gap between classes. Is a 10 minute gap too short to get around campus if classes run late or so forth.

you can take a dump, go to cafe/restaurant, masturbate, sit around, stare at chicks, play games on your laptop, study, do hw etc. etc. the possibilities are endless

No. Ten minutes is plenty of time, even from the Public Policy Building to Boelter Hall.

flopsy: how is ten min. from melnitz to boelter?

Decent. I've never been inside Melnitz Hall, though, so it could be an internal labyrinth for all I know...

I'm in the same situation as well. Do the lectures at UCLA actually end on the dot, or do they sometimes run late?

I don't want to be late for my next lecture/discussion if the previous ones run late....

nah - melnitz is a very simple building. Ten minutes from there to boelter is doable

Lectures never run more than five minutes late. The faculty are extremely punctual.

so is it a consensus that a 10 minute gap is fine between classes

Yes, 10 minutes is fine. If a professor will start to run over, people start to get up and leave, and the professor just stops from all the ruckus it causes.

you really think that ten mintues is enough to get from melnitz to boelter? maybe if you run or walk VERY quickly...

Are Royce and SMB halls? if they are, are they that far from each other?

Yes and they are a lot closer together than Melnitz and Boelter... it's definitely a more reasonable 10 minute walk....

yes Royce is a hall. Royce Hall. you'll hear that name come up quite a lot during your 4 years ;)

SMB is schoenberg hall. it's really close to royce, you can probably even see schoenberg from royce (or vice versa).

getting to/from most places in 10 minutes is do-able. some require a faster walk though.

okays, thank you :]~

what about geology to de neve

^ don't post the same question in multiple threads (bad forum etiquette)

depending on how fast you walk, 10-15+ minutes

sorry wasn't paying attention well then i GUESS if its 15 + I won't be able to make it between 10 minute gaps

have any bruins taken that walk or know if its a feasible time
