Class Waitlist Help.

A few of the classes I need are full.

1) Is there any kind of waitlist I can sign up on? Can you please explain the process.

2) If there's not a waitlist, how can I get in if a class opens up? Do I just need to check the online schedule of classes each day and pray for an opening?

Thanks.

The best way to get into a closed class is to go to see the teacher on the first day and beg to be let in. As a former college professor, that always worked for me.

Our D1 has completed 4 semesters of class registrations at UMTC and has gotten into every full class she needed by doing the following:

1 - When registering, select the wait list option if it is available.
2 - If the wait list option is not available or the wait list is full, email the professor and plead your case for a permission number.
3 - Check the class status daily for an opening, there is a lot of movement from the week before classes start right up to the first day of classes.
4 - If you were unsuccessful at getting into the needed class through online registration, then show up early on the first day of class and ask the professor for a permission number to enroll.

Our D1 has used each one of the above 4 methods at least once to get into the class she needed. Hope this helps!
