So I have three classes: ec11, en3, and ma17
now I have reduced my fourth choice to these ones:
culture and health an23 …smith
growing up ethnic and multicultaral an25 …anderson
biology and evolution of language Ge32…
volcanos, windows into the deep earth ge16 Saal
Animal Minds py19…Colwill
Intro to public policy py1…Wooten

Bio and evolution of language is supposed to be good in terms of both the course and the professor.

My friend took the volcano course and said it was fine but didn't really float her boat. She was bored with the work, but said they did some interesting stuff.

If any of those are FYS, you might want to look extra hard, since you only get one chance to take them.

Keep in mind that you have shopping period, so if you don't like a course, you can very easily change it. Nothing needs to be set in stone.

Intro to Public Policy is not PY1... that would be PP10, taught by Cheit. PY1 is intro psych, which I strongly recommend you do NOT take. If you're interested in psych, ignore the prereq and take a higher level course.

I've heard bad things about Culture and Health, but just from a couple close friends who took it. The prof wasn't their style.

So you have 6 classes to choose from... pick three and shop them all! Also, allow for the possibility that one of your "definites" may not work out. You never know if you're going to like a class or not until you get there.

sorry i made a mistake it is ps10 as ILoveBrown said, the thing is that i have a list so i have public policy above psychology and did not see well..
