<p>Ok so I am a upcoming freshman and my highschool provides alot of AP classes and such but dont provide IB classes :( i can take the workloads and stuff, so can you guys give me a sample of what my freshman schedule should look like also what kind of extracurricular activites should i do, i am a well rounded student
1. I play the double bass/ bass guitar , the violin , and the trumpet, and i sing
2. I volunteer ( im already done with my requirements :) any more ideas of where a 14 year old could volunteer?)
3. I play on my schools basketball team, and track team
4. My final grade last year was a 3.8 :( ( B in Algebra )
5. Im in the the Gifted and Talented program (kind of like AP in middle school !) </p>
<p>( Note : is it possible to take two years of math a year ?) ( also i already took Algebra in middle school ! :) )
Also could you guys include as many ap classes that you can !</p>

<p>As a freshman, AP classes are very rare. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, load yourself up because you think you can handle it. Believe me, it’s harder than you think. Honors is probably what’s offered. Take what you think YOU can handle.
Also, it is not usually possible to take two math classes a year unless your a genius and skip a level.
Join band or orchestra. Stay with it through high school. This will show commitment.
Also, pick a club or two and stick with them through the four years. This way, you can build up a leadership position. It shows commitment and, well, leadership.</p>
<p>Eastcoastgirl nailed it. Don’t overload academically in your first year of high school. Double math is generally a bad idea unless one of those is statistics. Experiment with different ECs with the intention of finding 2-3 that you really care about and plan to stick with. Quality, not quantity, is the key with ECs.</p>
