I'm transferring in as a sophomore, and I checked the current open classes on JTF for Organic Chemistry. It seems only 2 classes are being offered next fall, each holds about 500 students max.

One has only 40 seats left.

The other has only about 250 seats left.

I've heard transfers can't enroll until orientation? So...are these classes already going to be filled up? I'm confused...and I have to take Organic Chem sophomore year (I'm pre-med).

Don't worry...I was in your place 3 years ago. You'll get in.

You're in CALS...right? Go to https://dust.cals.cornell.edu there will be a link for transfer students to request enrollment (I think it's still in effect) and you might actually be able to make a schedule now. I pre-enrolled in July when I entered.

well no one can enroll now- seniors, juniors and sophomores already have, but enrollment is now closed. So its not like by waiting till add/drop(when freshman/transfers add classes and upperclassmen can change their choices) you will lose out.

Hope everything works out- I think you will be fine though!

well...when I entered CALS students could e-mail the registrar and request to be enrolled in classes. They now have a link on DUST for this purpose....
