how do colleges look at classes taken at community college? if i take an emt training class does it go toward my gpa/class rank? if i got a D in an honors algebra 2 class can i re do it at a cc and replace the D if i get an A?

you can't replace anything.
They'll still take the D into consideration.

D + A is better than D

You can't replace it, but by all means re-take the class. Show them you ARE capable of doing A work in Algebra II. It'll bode better for you in admissions.

Good luck.

the D was 1st semester and second semester i got a B. should i still retake it?

can anyone answer whether they count toward your gpa?

Wouldn't that depend entirely on what schools you are aiming for/whether you are interested in the material and want a deeper knowledge of it/can afford to take on another class? How could anyone but you possibly say whether or not you should retake it?

No, I don't think they count towards your GPA (unless you are dual enrollment?). You can make a note of the other classes, or a separate GPA.
