<p>Hi, I'm applying to Cornell CAS for economics. My question is, is it possible for Cornell students to take classes between different schools at the university? I'm planning on majoring in economics, but would also be interested in taking communications classes (which is CALS).</p>

<p>Yep. I’m in CAS and currently taking classes in CALS and ILR. If you want to take classes that are required for students in the other college, you might hit some roadblocks, but probably nothing that you can’t work around (for example, I needed to get special permission for my ILR class). But so far I’ve taken 2 classes in CALS (including one comm class) without any issues at all.</p>
