So here is the situation. I have been in orchestra all HS. But, now, in my senior year, I cannot take it because there is a conflict in my class schedual. Will colleges look at this in a bad way? like as if i am inconsistent?

these are my classes as of right now:

Badminton
Ap calc BC
AP Physcis C
Ap government/ Economics
AP literature
Spanish IV

The same-ish thing happened to me, except I just got put into classes below the caliber I wanted. They couldn't accomodate my fourth year of Spanish, so I only have three credits of that. Now I'm in French I. I also was put into just honors Government and Economics when I wanted the local community college class at my school. Does anybody think that'll hurt me either? I'm looking into nice schools (Northwestern, the like).

I feel for people who can't get the classes they want. :[

My schedule:

AP Calculus BC
AP Literature
AP Physics B
VCC (community college) Psychology/Student Success (had no choice in the latter class)
French I
College & Business Computer Skills (the only elective my guidance counselor could fit me in)

ARRGGGHHHHH enough already, few people have the exact perfect schedule or the perceived scheudule that they think colleges and college admissions people want- adcoms are not morons- they know that there are only so many classes, so many teachers, and so much time in a day etc

ugh, i just got my schedule, and i signed up for ap comp gov, ap english, ap euro, ap chem, and ap calc. i got none of them because they are all fourth period, and during fourth period i have to take advanced sports medicine, because i have to finish a two year internship that is my major ec. so i have no ap classes my senior year. ugh, this really sucks for me.

yeah, our counseling office was absolutely flooded today. but the teachers already have their schedule made out and everything so i doubt its going to change. they would have to reprint and redistribute everyones schedule, so i really dont think they will bother to do that, haha.

Had a similar problem with my son. He dropped AP Govt/Econ to keep his orchestra. They only offer AP classes in the morning schedule and put orchestra also in the morning. My son loves music and decided to take regular govt to keep orchestra. He and his GC will explain about the schedule conflict. He's already taking 4 APs. Have a rigorous schedule, enjoy your senior year but don't kill yourself over it by giving up some of the things that make you the person you are. Talk to your counselor, we did.

yeah, i am in all the wrong AP classes and im panicking becuase the first day of school is getting closer and closer and the counselors refuse to see students, refuse to talk on the phone, and wont respond to emails, am i just supposed to slink away? this is my senior year schedule so i wish the counselors would be a little bit more understanding. good luck to everyone with these annoying problems! urghhh
