Are Penn's Science and pre-med related classes all curved?

most classes are curved throughout the entire university

for the most part all science / premed are curved, but individual professors may vary in their grading policies; some may be more absolute than others

When you say curved, is that scaled or curved? Or in other words, do you ever get a lower grade than expected?

curves here can get pretty nasty in the hard sciences (i.e. physics, chem). don’t know much about bio, bbb, and others.

in chemistry most courses are curved at a B- or B, which is pretty bad when you consider that the “average” student in them is both very good at the subject and works very hard.

Does the curve generally help? I know for Wharton it hurts you sometimes but since Penn doesn’t have grade deflation, does the curve actually help your grade if you’re high performing?

Would you guys say that Penn Sciences is pretty grade neutral (no deflation and no inflation) or inflated?

neutral, not inflated

and eh the curve doesn’t do a huge amount assuming a standard distribution of student quality relative to the exams given
