Classes don't match up to intended major

I am currently a Junior and wish to major in mechanical engineering during college because I am not only passionate about it, but believe I will enjoy it as a career. The only issue however is that during high school I have not been exactly getting the greatest grades in the classes that pertain to mechanical engineering.
My current GPA is 3.77, which is alright I guess, but my math and science gpa is about a 3.55. To be precise here are my math and science grades

Freshman year: 1st sem + 2nd sem
Honors Geometry - B...........C
Honors Biology - A............B

Sophomore year: 1st sem + 2nd sem
Honors Pre-Calc - A...........A
Honors Chem - A............A

Junior year: 1st sem
AP Biology - A
AP Calc - B
Honors Physics A

Senior Year I will take AP Computer Science, AP Chem, and Engineering Concepts to counter the lack of engineering related classes

So please tell me, will these grades affect me quite a bit in acceptance to engineering schools? Even the third tier schools.

Also should I take SAT II's? I ask because rarely do people in the midwest take SAT's, rather the ACT where I am actually strongest in math and science. I expect to get an overall score of 32 on the ACT if that matters.

My goal in college acceptance is to get into UIC as a safety, then I can rest easy and any other schools I get accepted to such as UIUC, Iowa State, or Purdue would be awesome.

Thank you very much.

You are fine. How does AP Bio pertain to mechanical engineering?

Yea it doesn’t which is one of my problems. Originally I thought I was going to be a doctor, however I did some research + volunteering and my thoughts about it are different.

Although you got a C in H. Geometry, you got better grades as you got older at least in Math, overall. The ACT score sounds good, and it might be good to take the SAT just in case. Or take the ACT twice.
I am in a similar situation. As a junior, i decided what i wanted my major to be so next year i am taking 3 AP social studies classes to make up for it. As long as you rock the application, you should be fine. Please answer mine? Thanks
