Classes for a Civil Engineering Major

Okay, so I'm a Civil Engineering major right now, and I'm in my second semester of my freshman year. Basically, I'm taking all the basics that pretty much every engineering major takes.

The thing is, I qualified to be put in an Honors Cultural Anthropology course this semester. Now, I know that it has nothing to do with Civil Engineering, but I want to transfer out of the school I'm in and go into a better school, and I think that an Honors course would be a big help in doing so.

The problem is, this course is REALLY inconvenient with my current (and ideal) schedule. So I was wondering, is this course really worth taking as an Engineering major, honors course and all? I know this isn't exactly an Engineering question, but if you gave me some feedbaack, you'd only be helping a young man out.

Thanks.

I always think that being a well-rounded engineer is a good idea, especially as a civ where you'll be dealing with people a lot, speaking as a civ. Yes, you're qualified, and yes, it might help somewhat, but do you WANT to take the course?

If you WANT to take the course and you're excited about it and you think you can do well in it, definitely consider it.

Well, I always have wanted to learn about different religions and cultures, and it was one of the electives that I planned to take since high school (the others being Astronomy and Studio Art, and I've recently realized Art sucks ass), so I guess I do want to stay in it.

Was just wondering if I could be doing anything better with my time, though. Like maybe take another Math- or Science-related course, like Intro to Computer Science or something similar.
