Hey guys,

I'm hoping to transfer to NYU the fall of '05. I'm currently a freshman at UC Santa Cruz and I was having trouble picking my course load for Winter quarter. I'm currently a politics major (but hope to study International Relations and Journalism at NYU). Basically, my interests remain in the humanities. Do you think as a transfer student NYU would like to see me take some math/science based classes for a more well rounded application? I asked the admissions office and they stated that they like seeing a "liberal arts" course load which meets the requirments of the school you are currently attending. Hmm... I thought that was a somewhat broad response.

So far my schedule is:

Fall '04 (these are the classes I am currently taking)

Politics 4- Citizenship and Action
Writing based International and Global Perspectives Course
Spanish 2

Winter '05 (proposed schedule- starts january)

Biology of Aids (a science based class for non- science majors)
History of Art in India
Global Politics
and I've also been given the most awesome oppertunity of teaching a 2 credit class based on Model United Nations (international relations type stuff). I had to submit an application and I was admitted. Hopefully NYU will smile upon this oppertunity. I might receive 5 credits for this teaching oppertunity- and if I do I think I am going to drop global politics since 15 credits is the most you're allowed to take unless you get special permission to take more.

All classes listed above are 5 credit classes.

Any insight on my schedule?? Thanks for the help.
