Oh and I want to apply early decision and major in physics and music performance
Sorry just music not performance
Sorry it’s not organized very well. I’m a freshman so I haven’t taken any of these classes yet except freshman year and I haven’t taken any sat or act tests yet. My goal for the sat is a 2300 and my goal for the act is at least a 32 and I think it’s 8 AP classes altogether
Not sure what you’re looking for in terms of advice. You only have 1 qtr’s grades under your belt so you have a long road ahead of you. Try to maintain a 4.0 unweighted average from here on in, be a leader in the classroom, be a genuinely nice person, take the hardest classes you can, get high test scores, be VERY involved in just a few things to the point that you stand out in your achievements in them and then MAYBE you will be accepted to Cornell. Good luck!
Do your best and hopefully you make it!
My advice is to comeback and post the same question in a few years after you’ve had solid experience with high school work since it only gets tougher after freshman year. Also, no one can judge your chance without an SAT or ACT score. Plus, aim a little lower than 2300 since that’s a really high score; perhaps start by aiming to break a 2100 (the equivalency of a 32) and work your way up to 2300. Aiming too high can often lead to disappointment, and the last thing you want to feel is inadequacy during the application process, trust me. It’s also worth noting that you may find other colleges you love as you start doing the tours and visits.
