2) if you took art history, you could study for the art history ap on your own, that would show iniative even if it isn't calculated into your gpa. if you really love history, taking extra history classes would demonstrate a passion. i think that does more than just taking all the honors and aps available to boost your gpa even if you're not that interested.</p>
<p>unless you are involved in ECs then you should do Color Guard. All work and no play makes you look really boring. Colleges def. want to see something more than all the ho-hum honors/AP/IB...Color guard would make you stand out.</p>
<p>no, colleges want to see challenging courses. take phyc AP. i was forced to drop art and band for AP classes but im glad i did bc my class rank would have suffered.</p>
<p>If you love history Art History is a very interesting subject at my D's school. She couldn't take it as She wanted to take AP Euro History which is seems to be a requirement for many Ivies.
Otherwise AP Art History is a very interesting subject to take if you love Art and History and seems to have very practical value if you achieve stature in future to be in position to buy art.</p>
