Classes. Help!!

<p>I'm going into Columbia as a freshman in the class of 2013 and I had some questions about classes. How many classes do freshman usually take? I heard somewhere that freshman typically take 5-6 classes, but does that include Univ. Writing, Lit Hum, and Frontiers of Science?</p>

<p>I was wondering if someone could provide just a template of what a freshman schedule looked like (especially if you are a History Major).</p>

<p>Yeah, people include core classes into the count. 5 is generally a good number of courses for starting your first college term out (I took 5 first term and 6 second term)</p>
