Classes next year???? I'm lost

When do we sign up for classes? And how do we do it? And most importantly - I have no idea what to take. Who can help me? Can I talk with an advisor at Cornell before I pick classes??

You will be assigned an advisor sometime in July. Your advisor may pre-enroll you in some general courses…but this may change. You will finalize your schedule during the add/drop period in August. Once you find out who your advisor is, you can contact him/her to discuss your courses for the upcoming year.

take psych 101…its fun and good for your GPA

Okay, sounds good, thanks. Do the advisers generally make themselves available, and are they helpful?

If youre a transfer, is it possible to take psych 101 as a sophomore?

^^yes. My friend is a senior and took psych 101 in the fall of 2007.

cornellian- how helpful your advisor is has a lot to do with what school youre in. the CAS advisors are notoriously not very helpful…that much i can tell you.

How are the CALS advisors..?

CALS advisors rock. Actually…an advisor for my major advises both CAS and CALS students and he just won an award for being a top advisor.

Would it be difficult for me, as a CALS student (incoming soph transfer), to take a humanities class or two next year?

No…humanities are a CALS requirement…4 humanities classes are required, lol.

And yay..we have awsome advisors!

nope…not at all. Like I’ve said before…as a transfer you can take whatever you want…just work with your advisor closely to plan your schedule well.

Haha good. Cause I’ll be taking a lot more than 4

lol, I’m transferring in as a sophomore and already have 3 according to my credit evaluation…language counts, and I’m taking Japanese…so that’s covered.
