<p>hey guys i'm a newly admitted freshman thinking about taking some GE's over the summer at a community college. But i have several questions: </p>

<p>Will the grade i receive in the class at a community college affect my college gpa or do i just receive units? </p>

<p>I'm a biz-econ major, can i take some of my pre-major classes, micro and macro econ, over the summer?</p>

<p>Only the units from your community college would transfer, the grades will not.</p>

<p>I am pretty sure that you can take your pre-major classes at a community college, but since the GPA doesn't count, that means that you'll need to make sure that you do very well in your other pre-major classes. You should call the department for details.</p>
