Classes that are too hard

Calc is fun! Yeah for Multivariable Calc!! lol

AP Physics C is really hard...just an fyi.

Also, Taffy, colleges would much rather see the A in a normal class than a C in an AP because if AP's are meant to be college level and the student is getting a C, that would mean they are not up to the level of college courses in that subject.

Probably this is not hard class for some (maybe more than some) people, but it was for me...

To me, a cource called "Introduction of Computer Programming" was really hard. First, the course wasn't "Introduction" at all! The teacher was teaching bunch of java stuffs really fast, and most of kids just ends up not understanding the detailed concept. I had the 2nd heighest grade (the good thing: most of tests and quizzes were open book) in the class, and I still didn't get most of part in java.

I just chose to take that course as elective (well, I didn't want to get in that course at first, but the school put me into wrong class, and I just had to switch in to that class), but it was a wrong choise. But the class told me that I'm not a computer geek, and I shouldn't focus on those stuff. Well, least I learned something, so it was a good thing....

AP BIO is easy, but, you have to work VERY VERY VERY hard for your A. hardest course I've ever taken.

I don't know why it's so hard for you... mayeb you just aren't a bio person.

I generally do pre calculus homework in AP Bio... and have a ~92 avg for the first 9 weeks.... and like a ~97 now this second nine weeks.

Which book are you using? I generally read the whole chapter 2 or 3 times before the test. THe first time I read it, I understand it, but am a little shaky. While we are midway through the chapter, I read it again. Before the test, I read it again. I believe I read the cellular respiration chapter 4 times... but it was worth it... miss 4 out of 60 Qs.

star, I don't find Campbell's textbook to suck... not sure, but I am just "into" biology.

i would definitly recommend getting the ap bio cliffsnotes

the students take ap bio at my school are actually required to get it for the school year. go figure.

i agree that ap calc is hard... its unlike me to do bad in math however i am doing horrible in ap calc. I just cant understand it.

I don't think I've ever been in a class that was really too hard for me but I have made some classes much harder than they are by not doing the homework because I didn't understand what we did in class. That was stupid.

AP CALC was easy but I got a 2 on the test : (. Got a 3 because I was on an AB class, but for fun took the BC test with out ever studying for the BC part. Just assumed the knowlege would come to me during the test. I got a 4 on the AB sub score, but a 2 on the regular score. So stupid of me though. AP Bio class was easy for me, AP Chem class was hard, but I thought the AP bio test was moderate, I got a 4, and the AP chem test too easy I got a 5.

Is it common for Honors Geometry to be an extremely difficuly course in high school? Geometry is by far my hardest course. I ended up with an A for the 1st quarter, but it's not like I just had to study for a few minutes, take tests, and get the A; I had to work and study extremely hard. I thought I was gonna get a good start this marking period with a 150 pt test, but I end up with a very long test that only one person was able to finish (not me). On the last 2 sided page, there was a total of 10 4 pt questions, and I only had time to answer half of each question! That's at least 20 pts off right there. I think I did well on every other part though (except for one 12 pt proof, that I may have screwed up. some people did it in around 11 steps, while the other people like me used one main theorem to do it in 6 steps, while the rest left it blank), though usually I get a few pts off for careless mistakes. My teacher even said he knew most people wouldn't finish it. He makes his tests way too long, so that if there's just one question large important question that you don't get, you won't have enough time for the rest. I could have done well if I had more time. Now I'll just have to wait till monday until I wait for my grade (hopefully a C, B- if I'm very lucky). Luckily, he said he was gonna curve it, probably 5 percentage points, and we had extra credit atlantic pacific test today, which I did well on. Well, at least I'm not the only one who did bad, and I did very well on the other quizzes, so hopefully that will help too. I'll have to just wait anxiously for what I got until monday, which is one of the worst feelings in the world. They really push you too hard in high school. I ended up with 4 tests today! School sucks.

i had honors geom, sophmore year- just stick with it. it was one of my easier classes compared to honors pre calc this year.

At my school, the unspoken of, hard class is AP Studio Art. Its so challenging because the teacher sets deadlines that are a week within each other and most of the art projects take a lot longer than one week to finish. Taking that class will def. kill someones grade if they dont do the work.

AP history classes...
well i got contemporary history IB and my teacher makes the 3 tests 100 points, where we cant use notes and just writing essays, but every other assignment like 2 points, so you better pass the test to pass the class, and she doesnt know how to teach, she doesnt simplify the information enough, but its an IB class tho, but yeah kinda hard, but i cheat so im straight
geometry honors was kinda hard for me too, i got a D+ first quarter but i took it over online and got an A. but hey i'm in precalculus now and now i'm lookin back and sayin, dang geometry was an easy ass math compared to this!
i hate freakin calculus. takes up half a sheet of papaer to solve one problem.

I think my AP Bio teacher made it easier for us because when she did notes on the chapter or assigned work, she only ever went over stuff we needed to know. so when i went to read the chapter I just skimmed over the parts we didn't talk about and slowed down for the parts she gave notes on since that was the important stuff. The first test sucked. Most of my class got about 30-40 wrong out of 110 questions. I somehow managed only 9 wrong! Woo for good guessing. After that I learned how to study for the exams she gave better.

If you have Campbells book, well that sucks. that's what i had and he makes everything seem more complicated than it is. get cliffnotes.

oh yeah, and AP Chem sucked. wow, i got so many test grades in the 20's in that class, its hard to believe i made it out. thank goodness our teacher broke down at the end and curved grades!

The hardest classes in my school are the foreign language AP's- Spanish, French, and Latin. I'm in AP Spanish Lit right now, and it's just ridiculous. It takes forever to try and read all of this stuff that's written in 16th century Spanish (think Shakespeare in a different language) and be able to understand it.

Fortunately, for the more famous works, you can generally find translations online.

please don't say physics c is hard... omg one of the dumbest, most arrogant, snoot is getting an A in my class. Gotta hate the unjust world.
