Classes to Recommend/Avoid?

anyone here take any history classes? im takin 101 w/ johnson, and i was wondering if anyone had any negative/positive reviews on it?

The way around it is something that my adviser said she would tell me when I reached on campus. She said, though, not to talk about that way around it with the Econ department because then they feel slighted. I'm pretty sure it's a Stats or Business course.

Anyone got their full schedule done? I think I just might have it finished.

I have just one question: How is Spanish I? Basically, I know that it's a 5 day/week class, but how much out of class studying, homework and prep is necessary to do well (A). I have taken four years of Latin, but have no experience studying a spoken language (not counting my language of origin). </p>

Thanks!

I have my doubts about the plausibility of skipping Price Theory for an econ major...it's one of the four core classes for the major.

even if it was possible, I wouldn't recommend skipping Price Theory if you plan on continuing your Econ studies in grad school or performing research in that area.

Ok, ok fine. The point is that it's a very tough course where, as my academic adviser said, "you take a really tough course and don't get much out of it in terms of the end result".

hell yeah I've heard it's the toughest for Econ ;)

But I guess if you don't want to be a true Econ major, you could try and skip it. lol

I know a few people who've taken price theory and done very well, and a few who had huge amounts of trouble with it (some of those people are in both categories). From what I've heard, the hardest thing about it is that it requires a really solid understanding of microeconomics, and a LOT of kids at washu use AP microeconomics to fill that prereq and go straight into price theory, which is probably a large part of the difficulty

hey i am a transfer ....how is calc2 with yohe?

i got an A in calc1 at emory and i thought it was ridiculously easy...any comments? workload, test difficulty, etc...

i'm a biochemistry major so i'm sure i'll have to take up to calc 3...unfortunately i was ill advised to take calc1 even though i had AP credit but hey what can you do when your advising is ****

bump bump bump

some friends of mine had calc 3 with yohe and said it was a breeze. he's supposed to be a total character, too (in a good way).

excellent excellent-hopefully the same holds for calc2...thanks melanie

yeah, Yohe's cool
