Any for Fall 2012? Need 3-4 more units!

Are take home exams difficult enough to make up for the fact that they are take home? Or are they just plain easy…

Easy classes aren’t easy enough these days huh?

Take home or open book exams should be expected to be more difficult, but also perhaps more reflective of solving real life problems, than in class closed book exams.

Well more like take-home exam essays. I opted out for a midterm paper instead of the exam (the avg for the exam was 80%) and I ended up with a 93% for the paper lol. I just don’t want to cram during final week for an extra class! Stop judging people lol!

History 124A taught by Professor.Smith! He’s awesome and only midterm is in-class (which was pretty easy). And you have one term paper and take-home final.

Thanks phil! Does that fulfill the AC req? I saw that on the description but it isn’t tagged with ‘AC’.

Anyways, I’m thinking of Sociol 130AC, any tips?

If the take home final is not Math or an essay, it is difficult. I took Cognitive Psychology and we had take home assignments and the way our professor worded them and the answers supplied made it extremely difficult. Also, when it’s a take home exam or open book exam, you are doubting yourself even more compared to a non take home or not open book exam.

Most grad classes are take-home exams lol. However, if you like having copious amount of time to think even if requires more work and thinking, I totally understand. Not everyone is designed to cram much information and spew it out in such a short time along with some spark of brilliance here and there.
