Classes you regret taking?

Do you guys have any classes (usually electives) in high school that you regret taking because either; it didn't interest you to begin with or didn't go with the major that you want to go into in the future?

me:
9th Grade:
Computer Application (I already knew how to use Microsoft Word)
Industrial Arts (AKA "woodshop", pointless because I want to major in business)

10th Grade:
Web Development (again, I want to major in business, NOT computer science)

11th Grade:
Drivers Ed (I assumed they were going to teach us ACTUALLY driving, not reading about laws and regulations PLUS I received NO credit for it when I passed!)

AP Stats- my college didnt even accept the credit

There’s a class that I regret NOT taking. I wish I had taken MUN in freshman year instead of world history H. No one likes the MUN teacher at my school because she’s lazy and mean. But now that I think about it, it’s silly to avoid a class that seems interesting to you just because of the teacher.

No, I’ve enjoyed all the electives I’ve taken so far. However, I’m still kind of p*ssed about the 88 I got in Pre-Calculus second semester, but since it’s a required course… whatever.

APUSH - Could have done at least 2 AP classes with A’s instead of a single B and 3 on AP test. Such a waste of time.

Sorry for ranting, but I hate this “everything I ever do must relate directly to the job I’ll have when I’m 30” mentality. Your classes shouldn’t all relate to what you think you want to major in. Even your college will have distribution requirements.

All of the dumb classes I’ve taken were pretty much required and/or the only thing open at that time in my schedule, so I didn’t really get to choose them.

I regret opting to take advanced biology. Shouldve gone for economics instead : p

IB HL Math. Worst decision of my high school career.

AP U.S. history lol

IB HL History- I can’t even describe how badly this decision was.
IB Film- So bad I had to drop it
Tech- Stupidest class ever, but it’s required…
Ceramics- Kinda chill, but I got super messy and I got a B. It wasn’t even that fun. Very stressful

2 english classes senior year. Could’ve had a free block during lunch (meaning going home at 11:40 every third day…) or rearranged my schedule to have AP Spanish instead of the dumbo class I was stuck in.

freshman year ceramics was awful because the teacher clearly disliked how slow I was. art takes time, ya’know?! (still got a C)…needed it to graduate but no regrets.

junior year I should’ve probably taken the highest level history class but I had a pretty busy schedule so c’est la vie

but really I do regret the 2 english classes because as much as I love english I disliked both classes and the thought of a 90 minute lunch break was very appealing, and so was having a difficult spanish class. I learned nothing new in my class senior year and foreign language is a huge part of my college major. (i’m still 2 years ahead of the curve but still)

why does almost everybody regret taking AP classes? Taking AP classes will be good for college admissions

I wish I had the option to take the type of AP classes you guys take, at my school we only have AP English

I really disliked both freshman art and comp apps but both are required. I’m not sure if ill like accounting because I dislike the teacher (same as comp apps).

Journalism. Worst class ever. Boring. I could’ve gotten an academic out of the way instead of that nonsense.

@iHateMyClass Yeah your right, colleges love to see AP classes…if you do well in them lol.

AP US History and AP Bio are the worst ****** classes on this planet

Debate II was the biggest waste of my time. Not even a real class ugh…

APUSH all the way…the teacher was junk, everyone treated it like a joke, and we never did anything productive. Ughhh

I hated freshman Geometry. It was mandatory though, so I couldn’t drop it  Yep, my only B+ to this day was in what is considered an “easy” math.
In terms of electives, I hated financial planning. We just did taxes -__- I got an A+ though (not really much to mess up ahahah :P), so I guess it was okay.

Computer Apps - I took it because my school requires two technology credits, and I figured I’d get 1/2 out of the way freshmen year. But, every other tech class is a full credit - so I’ll just end up with 2.5 so this class was useless!

Psychology - I took it because the AP Psychology teacher acted like AP Psych was the hardest class in the world and I’d fail it if I didn’t take general psychology first (clearly, I had not been on CC before this lol). What a waste of time! I would have been just fine in AP psych without psych first, and I could have taken Journalism instead.
