Is there anyway to sign up for classes before orientation? I just got screwed over with orientation, I was signed up for June 7-9, but now I have to change it to August 24-26 because of my cousin's AICE tests (she's my only way to get there). All the good classes will be gone by then.

No, you can’t sign up for classes before orientation. They usually set up a block system, I was told, where at each orientation they open up seats to more classes to make sure it’s fair…not sure if it’s true or not. I actually went to late orientation myself, and got all of the classes I needed. There’s also the drop/add period during the first week, and a lot of people who have signed up for a class before summer started, and have decided that they no longer want to take it won’t attend the first class, and will be dropped from it…so you can take their spot. Just see how your schedule is when you make it at orientation, if you are missing a class that you need, wait for the drop/add period.

Okay thanks… by the way, do you think I can still get morning classes. I don’t care how early they are, I just don’t want night classes.

Yeah, you’ll definitely get some, since those are usually classes people DON’T want to take (waking up early and whatnot)…I’m sure you’ll have no problem getting early classes!

Haha, okay great! I just don’t want to get stuck with night classes.

and if you dont get all the classes that you want, during add/drop week you can try and fight for spot openings.
