Which schedule would look better to colleges?

1:

Junior Year:
Adv American Lit
Pre-Calc/Intro to Calc
Accelerated US
AP Bio

Senior Year:
Adv World Lit
Calc
Middle East History
AP Physics

2:

Junior Year:
Adv American Lit: IB Focus
Pre-Calc/Intro to Calc
Accelerated US
Intensive French 4

Senior Year:

Adv World Lit: IB Focus
Calc
IB World History
IB Bio or IB Physics

In my opinion, the 2nd schedule looks more impressive. Advance american lit and advanced world lit you're adding the IB focus, which can't hurt. Taking Intensive French 4 may not be as impressive as AP Bio, but both are quite impressive. IB Physics/Bio is equal to AP Physics. And IB World History is definately more impressive than Middle East History. So, overall, #2 wins out.

I have heard that colleges want the three major sciences, which I will not have if I chose to take IB. Also, a science teacher in my school said that with science classes, AP looks better than IB.

I don't know why AP science would look better than IB. We don't have IB at my school but I've never heard that before. Would it be possible to do schedule 2, but take AP Bio instead of Intensive French? But, you didn't take Bio and Chem in 9th and 10th grades? Because then you would have 3 sciences.

I took chem in tenth grade, but in 9th grade, because it's a boarding school and there are a lot of different kinds of people with different science experience, we take freshman science. Also, to do IB you need to have an intensive fourth year language, and while you can take five majors, it is hard and you need instructor approval.

Is it bad that I never had a physics class? I chose to take AP biology instead because the physics class at my school is a joke.
