Should I take the above classes?

Forgot to mention Biology: A/A+

I might have you consider AP English. With your grades in English and things related to it, I think you can handle it, if you’re interested. You might also (or instead, your choice) consider AP environmental science. I mean, look at the grade you got in A&P, a notoriously difficult class! And in Bio! I think you can handle AP ES.

I’m not sure what “college math review” is, but that sounds pretty weak. Can you take pre-calc or stats? You got an A+ in Algebra 2; why aren’t you looking at progressing in math?

Basically, I feel you may not be challenging yourself as much as you could. I’d ask you to consider taking maybe one more AP class than you are, in one of your best subjects, like English or science. And I question your math for next year.

Another note - you’ve only taken two years of foreign language in high school. That may constrain your choices of colleges. If the colleges you like only require two years, you’re good; but please do check that.

Hi! My school does not offer AP ES, and I have taken 3 years of foreign language. I started in 8th grade with a program our school offers. Ill be taking a fourth next year. I have also chosen Honors Pre-Calc. I am taking Psychology 1 and 2 to help with my future career, Honors Environmental Science, Honors Precalc, Honors English, ASL 1, and Wind Ensemble.

Can you do dual enrollment with a local school, you might want to take English composition and/or psychology there, and then you would have those credits for college.

Since you took regular algebra2, you should either take regular precalculus or statistics (AP stats ok since you’re doing well in regular algebra2).
On the other hand, try to take AP psychology if your school offers it, as well as AP Language. Those would help you more for college.

If you were thinking of ASL as a 3rd year of foreign language, Asl1 will count as an elective - you need to take either Latin 4 or something else.

My recommendation:
AP psych
AP Lang
AP stats
Environmental Science honors
Wind Ensemble
One social science or humanities elective

Lack of a second year of lab science like Chemistry, Physics.

@beerme Biology is a lab science at our school.

@MYOS1634 My teacher had recommended me for honors and they are going to watch me until they know I’m fine. If I have trouble I’ll drop down to stats but I think I’ll be fine in Honors pre-calc.

@mommdc My school does not allow dual enrollment for psychology, and my English teacher said my composition was not yet strong enough for a class like that.
