has anyone ever been in a class where, no matter how hard you try, you just can't seem to get an A? Aren't classes designed so that anyone can get an A if they study hard enough? Yea, I didn't do too well on a AP bio test on ecology despite studying for hours a week before the test...

yeah i hate those classes
its like the super amaingly smart geniuses get the A and u cant

bump............

Drama is so hard for me, no matter how hard I try I always get Bs at the most.

APUSH was such class for me before teacher brought curve; well, it was a semi-curve so the highest percent in class would become 100%.

last year it was honors bio. i'd study for hours nights in advance, go to extra help, ask questions, and still get a C on the test. it just wasnt my forte. I did get an A- on quarter however(89.6) haha.

I'm in one now where the highest mark is an 77%...The teacher is such a b****. She gave me zero on a test because I was sick!!! I even came in early before school to write with a note saying I was sick and that my mom knew there was a test the day I was sick. She said she may let me retake it, but the highest mark I can get (even if I get everything right) is a 50%!!!!!

French, I feel sorry for you and understand that most worse teachers I had don't even compare. But it is a good experience for you. Steel is tempered with high temperatures and pressures.

exact same thing keeps happenting to me ...except the test wasnt on ecology....in fact i can remember exactly what it was one...maybe thas why i didint do that well...

Honors Physics made me break down more than once last year. I barely scraped a C+.

Why are Chemistry teachers so mean? Personally for me that class is math or Art no matter how hard I could not get an A. Although, last year I ended up with an A in math, whereas Freshman year I had a C-. This year chem is also a problem.

In my ap american Lit... the teacher has yet to give an A in his 6 years of teaching..... the highest he has given is a 88.6 percent......B+....

Chemistry is the easiest class I've ever taken.

I've managed to not do any homework and still get by with a C because I got A's on all my tests.

^^thats quite an idiotic move... Unless you don't care about your future and your grades, then doing your homework is an easy grade

Jman, that's exactly what I did in H. Geometry :)

Last year in French was sort of like that. Except it wasn't hard at all, I got all As or A+'s but I still didn't get an A for my semester grades for some reason....

AP Econ this year is absolutely ridiculous. How the hell are we suppose to get 90+% on actual AP tests in order to get an A? :(

And last year the hardest class for me was (H) CPC (College Prep Composition, it's considered harder then AP English in our school). I'd spend hours and hours on my essays and have tons of teachers edit them and critique it and it somehow I still couldn't pull off even a B. Ended up with a C+. Lowest grade...ever :(

LOL...PE for me hahaha no j/k uhm mine was any science class I KNEW that I knew the stuff and then when it would come time for tests I would study my butt off and then blah i fail and the closest to an A I got was an 89% B+ :(

"Aren't classes designed so that anyone can get an A if they study hard enough?"

No, and I hope you quickly rid yourself of this delusion. Especially in the upper most level classes, sometimes concepts don't click for some people. Those people generally don't continue their career in that direction.

huh...i have an 82 in AP bio....please dont make sarcastic remarks about how i am going to a community college...im just disapointed :(
