Classes?

Well, for one thing, the instructor for History 1C is not up yet. Professors choose different sources for even the same courses usually.

As for choosing textbooks - Amazon, Half.com, and Textbooks Plus (in Westwood where prices are significantly cheaper than at the campus bookstore). I would wait a while (except maybe for your huge, fat textbooks) to buy your other books (especially for GEs and if they're novel-sized). For instance, for the history courses, you're most likely going to get somewhere between 5-10 small books. Is it really worth it to save $1-3 and wait for up to approximately 2 weeks for it to come in the mail or should you just go to Textbooks Plus and have it immediately (while being aware of their return policies for what I think is the first two weeks of the term)?

For calculus I mean.

They wouldn't buy back our textbooks last quarter.

Why do they keep changing the textbooks for math and other science classes, especially the lower division ones? It's freaking annoying.

Dude, they changed the versions. It's no longer 5th edition or whatever we have

31A and 31B are using Rogawski's new book. So is his 32A class. For other teachers of 32A and 32B, they still use Stewart's 5th, according to the textbook website.

ohh i have rogawski.
so i guess i cant buy ur book boelterhall?

is it possible to walk from to perloff to ms in 10 minutes
as well as DODD to Young in 10 minutes?

also. is ending everyday at 4:00 okay? enough time for studying/socializing?

4:00 is fine. Manage your time. Perloff to MS is doable in 10 minutes. Dodd to Young requires brisk walking.

thanks aurora borealis! are professors usually really mad about latecomers?

anyone else on the 4:00 end time?

It depends on the professor! Some are more anal than others. For large lecture classes, its not as a big an issue as writing and foreign languages courses...
