classes

i'm planning to take for senior yr:

ap bio
ap stats
econ & american democracy
japanese 7
ap english lang
ap psych

i'm planning on trying to add phsyics honors. i kno universities want to students to challenge themselves during senior year still, so i'm kinda freaking out rite now since my schedule doesnt seem as hard as my classmates. is my schedule too easy for schools like UCs( specifically cal, la, davis, nd sd), pomona, jhu, stanford, etc?

lol i don't think your schedule is too easy for UC's... i got into ucla, cal, uci and ucsd... my schedule this year as a senior is ap gov/econ, asb, spanish 3, ap english, physics honors and help desk

You schedule might not be competitive compared to others, especially for Standford that you mentioned last, but its still a pretty moderate course.

I mean geeze, students take AP Bio sphomore year these days. x_X

then take AP physics B or C. If you didn't take physics before take b. Your schedule has many APs but many are the easy ones. Like Stat, Psy, and maybe Lang(not that easy but considered easier than other ones). But if you like the subjects then take it. Oh yeah, why no math?

thanks for the advice! anyways i talked to my counselor and he let me change my ap stats to ap calc ab and add physics honors. is that still pretty easy? iono i'd like to have a pretty relaxed senior yr and have a life (for once) but (and this is only me) with college apps coming up it's kinda hard not to go crazy with APs

since when is 4 AP's a joke to you guys. Thats a difficult schedule. AP is really a college course. I mean, 4 is a lot. I think its very strong. I duno, maybe its because everyone here is taking 6,7 AP's or something

yea i thought 4 APs were a lot too. maybe I'm just intimidated by the great stats around here.

In my school, four is a lot...I'm taking four next year, and the recommended maximum is three...

I think your schedule looks fine..don't worry about it.

How is it possible to take more than 4 or maybe even 5 ap classes? I had three schedule conflicts when I signed up for 4 AP classes...unless your counseling dept. is amazing at scheduling....I thought it was impossible.

lol they make it happen somehow. I kno friends with 4 or 5 ap classes. Anyways thanks I'm pretty sure I'm sticking to ap calc ab, ap bio, ap psych, japanese, ap eng lang, and econ. However, i heard that colleges want students to take all 3 core sciences (bio, chem, physics). should i take physics even though i have no interest in it?

yeah i think so. everyone does it at our school. besides regular physics is nor hard even honors if you study even with little science skills you can get an A.

I go to a pretty large school (2,000) so scheduling conflicts are REALLY rare, in fact, there are 20,000 schedule changes a year.

It all depends on what your school offers, I mean my schedule this year looks really weak, but it's the absolute hardest schedule.

People change their schedules ten times? Are you certain?

not each person, but at least 20,000 schedule changes a year. And yes, I'm 100% certain

How is that so? Then some people change their schedules more? Why, and how is that possible?
