I'm going to be a freshman this coming fall and I need some advice on my courses. I don't think I can start general chemistry this fall semester, so I might start it next semester, then continue on with the chemistry sequence (general chem 1, general chem 2 in the fall semester of 2009, organic chem 1, organic chem 2 in the fall semester of 2010, my junior year.) Is it okay to separate general chemistry and organic chemistry over the summers like this? I'm planning on starting Calculus and English now, as well as doing some other prereqs for my college (Cal). If I follow this schedule, should I start taking Biology now or wait for the next semester? Thanks for any help!

I also have a question that I thought I should just answer here rather than start an entirely new thread: do comparative literature courses satisfy expository writing requirements that most medical schools have?
