This may seem like a trite question, but I signed up for AP Biology for senior year. I thought it would be good, until I got the summer packet and learned how much work the class actually is. Now I really don't want to do it.

I want to switch into AP Enviro, but it's all full.

OR, I could switch into AP Physics. The thing is, I took a college physics class last year. I want my schedule to look good for next year, but if colleges see that I'm taking the same class they might be skeptical...

SO, what should I do? Stick it out in bio or switch into physics, a class which I have essentially already taken?

Intro Physics is usually considered to be harder than Intro Bio. Unless you're mathematically minded, I'd stick it out with AP Bio. Plus, you've already taken Intro Physics.

Well, are you just going to quit because it's a lot of work? Later on in life, there's going to be things that require much more work than just AP Bio. Seriously, I would stick with it. Bio is a fun subject :] Anyways, that's only what the packet says. You won't know until you try first.

I'm sure class difficulty is different at every school, but at mine (large public school) bio ap would definitely be considered much easier than physics or enviro ap....I took bio ap this last year and honestly, it was one of my easiest classes (my schedule was all AP) and also a lot of fun. You should stick with bio :)

Well, my case is a bit different that what loralot said above ^^. At my school, AP Biology is one of the most rigorous courses. I took it last year (my junior year,) and I remember staying up until 1 or 2 in the morning doing work JUST for that class.

By being frank I'm not trying to scare you, but just telling you to be prepared. Its a ton of work, but at the end the feeling of knowing that you learned so much and that you succesfully did all the work is great (at least for me! =)

when applying to most schools, second semster grades dont matter too much

what i suggest is take AP Bio, do well first quarter, get into college, and for the second half of the year dont do any of the hw and you can prob get grades that are an average of one letter grade lower than what you got first quarter

these second semester grades will not kill you and not doing the hw takes out much of the effort to AP bio
