<p>So far I have just been relaxing this summer, but lately I've been feeling kind of uneasy. Am I supposed to have registered for my fall classes already (I'm an incoming freshman)? I thought that's what CTOPS was for. Can someone tell me?</p>
<p>You don’t register for classes until CTOPS. That being said, it can’t hurt to have a look at the undergraduate bulletin and see what classes you need to take for your general education requirements and/or what classes you may want to take for your tentative major. You can also look online to see what classes are filled up. At CTOPS, class choice is very limited.</p>
<p>DS is attending the August CTOPS, because we live >2k miles from Carolina and can make only one trip for both orientation and move-in. In the first year guide, it says that classes can be changed from Aug 1-31. Could he try to register for some or all of his classes in early August before attending CTOPS, or does he need to actually be at CTOPS to be eligible for registration?</p>
<p>Freshmen cannot register before CTOPS.</p>
