<p>I would think it depends on your major, how much you enjoy it, and which professors you take.
Generally, I know the science classes (both with and without premeds) tend to be very rigorous. WashU classes make you work, but your hard work will pay off (ie. if you are aiming for medical school, a 3.5+ statistically gives you a 90+% chance of getting into at least one med school) </p>
<p>I once talked with a Duke University Medical School rep, and he told me that med schools are very aware of the competition and rigor of WashU undergrad. I would think this is the case with most graduate departments.</p>
