Is there a way to find out how many ppl are in a class/section without enrolling in that class?

not that i know of. which classes are you checking on?

well i'm signed up for intro to philosophy right now, but i wanted to see if intro to psych was a really big class or just a normal-sized class, cause i mgiht wnat to take that instead. but my philosphy course is closed right now, so if i drop it and then add psych to find out how many ppl are in it...i may not be able to get back in to philosophy.

Is there a core curriculum at Vany?

There's not a core curriculum, but a curriculum requirement called AXLE.

Intro to Psych probably has upwards of 200-300 people in it since there is only one section. However, this is just a guess.

if you call the school, they're pretty helpful. and i'm sure they' could tell you the class sizes.

If you want a small class, try a writing seminar. I took Phil100W, and it was only 14 of us around a conference table, in really comfortable chairs (The main philosophy department conference room). You will read essentially the same stuff and your only grade will be 4 essays and 20% something else. Check it out
