I was wondering what science class freshmen usually take? Are all of them up for grabs even as a freshman?

Thanks so much!

Fall quarter classes:

Chem 2A
Math 16/17/21 (I would do 16 or 17 for a science major)
UWP 1 (difficult to get)
plus something like a GE class and freshman seminar

Don’t take biology until winter quarter.

Look here for sample sched: [UC Davis: College of Biological Sciences: Undergraduate Academic Programs: Incoming Freshmen: Sample Schedules](http://biosci.ucdavis.edu/undergrad/incoming_freshmen/freshmen_sample_schedules.html)

Thanks so much for the help! The link is incredibly useful :)

Im a little confused though Chem 2A doesnt last the whole year? So Id take both bio and chem freshman year?

oh and just out of curiousity why should i wait until the winter quarter to take bio?

thanks!!

Nope, Chem 2A is one quarter. You’ll take Chem 2B during winter quarter I think? And in that case, you would be taking both biology and chemistry during the winter quarter, which is why you should wait, because you don’t want to jump into the year with 2 science classes on your plate.
