Classical monologues?

Hi, I’m currently preparing for MT/Acting prescreens and one school specifically asked for a Classical (pre-1900, according to their standards) and I’m having a very hard time finding one suitable for a teenage female that isn’t overly done. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Moliere’s “School For Wives” has some fun ones. (My daughter was originally considering using one from that play, but ultimately she chose something different. So I’m happy to pass it along!)

My thinking may be outdated, but Classical monologues for young women will feel overdone since there is a limited pool. I just did a quick search, and maybe this will help? (Even though they show the monologues, always refer to the original text, of course. And, reading the entire piece for context is always a good idea.)

That’s what I think. You’re not going to find a teenage classical monologue that auditors haven’t heard so just look for one you connect with.
