classics major

What can you do with a classics major? I want to be an english major to go into book publishing, but Im also interested in classics.

So, what kind of jobs can you get with an classics major?

Is anyone a classics major? Do you enjoy it?

Thanks!

I'm a classics major (well, technically Latin and Greek, but its basically the same thing) and I'm really enjoying it. I thought I was going to major in English and minor in Latin at the beginning of freshman year, but the Ovid class I took fall semester frosh year completely changed that, and I realized that Latin poetry was cooler than English poetry. Somehow, I ended up doing an intensive Greek program at Berkeley this past summer, and now I think I'm going to double major in Latin and Greek. As far as what I'm going to do with my majors, I have no idea. What I'd really like to do is go to graduate school, but I've heard that classics is also a good major for law school and med school (b/c most of the terminology in those areas comes from Latin and Greek). I imagine that it'd be helpful with book publishing, anything editorial, and most occupations involving literary stuff.
