Classics majors?

What do you plan on doing with your degree? What's the courseload like? What's your favorite course? Do you study Greek, Latin, or both? I'm a hs senior who wants to be a Classics major and I want some other perspectives.

I am also going to be majoring in the Classics memaw12, but like you I am just starting this year. Graduated high school in '07 so I am a bit of a non traditional student. I will be studying both Greek and Latin, and taking the required science courses to get a Masters of Occupational Therapy afterwards. Many say to choose something more “practical” but I will study where my greatest interests are, and use graduate school to launch my career. Classics is excellent preparation for post undergraduate studies, just be sure to take all the required pre reqs as electives and use your summers to intern. If you don’t know what you want to do with your degree you have time to think on it, but with a liberal arts degree like the Classics its best to have a solid plan so you aren’t floundering after graduation.
