Cleaning out my college list! Care to help?

College list:
1. UT Austin
2. Case Western Reserve
3. Texas A&M (ACCEPTED, awaiting honors prog. decision)
4. U of Minnesota-Twin Cities
5. U Wisconsin- Madison (still need to complete application, due feb.1)
6. University of Vermont
7. Colorado State University(ACCEPTED, honors prog.)
8. Colorado school of mines(ACCEPTED)

I live in Texas and my major is chemistry/biochem and i want to be a veterinarian. I was accepted to A&M as a biomedical science major (only undergrad major in their vet school). Now that I have been accepted to Texas A&M (and can easily afford it) I want to start narrowing down choices only to schools that I would prefer to go to over a&m (hopefully that makes sense?).

So...
Which of these schools should I cross off my list when compared to Texas A&M?

(im thinking Colorado school of mines and university of vermont at least). And yea i realize i need to wait to here back from all of my schools (the only schools i might not get into are UT or Case Western, which are also top choices of mine) but I want to narrow down my choices so i dont have to decide among 6 or 8 schools when i hear my final decisions . Just want to prioritize my list a bit i guess... :)

Do you only want to apply only to state schools? What are you able to afford per year? The OOS costs are expensive for some of these. I would cross off U of Vermont.

And congrats on your acceptances! You have some great options already :)

i would say take off vermont and if you want to take off another I would say take of minnesota.

Oh sorry if I wasnt clear. I already have applied to all of the colleges on my list (except Wisconsin), just awaiting the rest of the decisions. Yea i think vermont and mines are definitely off it.

Anyone else care to chime in :)?

I would take off U Vermont…but that’s just my opinion. I think it should mainly be up to you though! :)

Yea i know it should be up to me mandy, im taking suggestions with a grain of salt. I just want to know which schools you would consider “worse” than a&m
