I'm planning to attend a CCC for the next 2 years and then transfer to either UCSD, UCLA, UCB, or Cal Poly SLO. I was wondering if classes that I took during the summer in CCC for IGETC and the prereqs would count towards my application when I transfer to those other schools?

Yes summer classes count.

They count but the last summer before you transfer will not be considered when reviewing your application. So its best to get your prereqs and IGETC done by the end of spring the year before you transfer.

^ With that said, although a class taken in the last summer before you transfer will not be considered for admission, it WILL count as credit, correct? The reason I ask is because I can’t fit a certain Haas breadth requirement (a degree requirement, not an admission requirement) into my schedule and I’m hoping I can take it in the summer before I transfer.

Yeah, of course.

I will be finishing physics this summer before I transfer to Davis(hopefully). Physics is not required for me to transfer, but it is required for my major.
