I am wondering if all the waitlist letters have the same wording
@bear1022 I was wondering the same thing. Anyone willing to share what their letters said?
@pghmom72 We know someone OOS last year who was waitlisted and heard the last week of April. She had put a deposit down on another school the day before she was accepted off of the waitlist. June 1st isnât going to be a huge help since everyone will want to confirm by May 1st!
Our Says âif space becomes available , the strength of your credentials indicates that we may be able to offer you admissionâ
@bear1022 @cookiemom - my daughterâs letter said the same thing that bear1022âs letter saidâŠ
Ours tooâŠsame wording
@bear1022 my daughters letter says the same thing. I did hear that you could hear back in the next wave but Iâm not sure when that will be.
Yes, DD waitlisted. We are OOS and she applied as Business maor also
My DD waitlist letter says the same. We are so very hopeful. My daughters first choice major is Pre professional sciences. Second is Special Education.
@Cookiemom17 where did you hear that info? That would be super awesome!!
@ Sunday007 from someone in admissions. Just not sure when the next wave is
I was waitlisted as well, and same with 4 others at my school. seems like a lot of people got waitlisted, but Iâm accepting it just b/c itâs my number 1. As of now it looks like im laying down the deposit at Elon end of April.
GPA: 3.5
SAT: 1390
Major: Pre-Business
Residency: OOS (MA)
I was under the impression that the bridge program would only be offered if they could remove you from the waitlist, but could not offer fall admission to Clemson, instead, you might be invited to attend the bridge program, fall 2020 - again, not everyone on the waitlist is offered the bridge program. And you likely would not know until June 1st. Correct?
I just received an email from someone at admissions regarding waitlisted students. She said there is a possibility that waitlisted students MAY hear before May 1st but that they wouldnât know for sure or how many students they will take until the process gets a little farther along. She also said that if you get accepted from the waitlist, that you may receive financial aid, BUT you will not be offered any merit or scholarship money.
@Cookiemom17
Do you mean next wave of acceptance letters?
I was waitlisted OOS from New York. Sports Communication major. Clemson is my #1!
ACT 28
SAT 1300
GPA 4.4 Weighted
Lots of dual enrollment at community colleges
I think I was waitlisted only because they take such a few students for Sports Communication. Visiting Clemson in just under two weeks so I am hoping I can ask some questions about being waitlisted then!
@Jlh0204 did you reach out to admissions before they sent you an email?
@Sunday007 yes, just nor sure when that will be. Do you know?
@Cookiemom17 - My daughter got the letter that she was waitlisted last week. A few days later, I emailed the admissions department asking them if the waitlisted students would find out before May 1st, and she responded that they couldnât guarantee it and that the students that are accepted off of the waitlist may receive FASFA but not merit aid or scholarships.
@Jlh0204 got it! Thanks! Was wondering the same thing. Clemson is my DD first choice and would wait if it meant so could get off the waitlist.
just an update:
it has basically been confirmed that anyone waitlisted cannot be offered a position in the nursing program as it is said to be full, that is straight from the admissions office.
Daughter waitlisted from MD. Business major. Was her first choice, but she has other great options (OH, Penn State, UMD) Will be hard to even wait for May 1st⊠let alone June. Worried most getting off wait list will be for Spring starts.
I posted in another thread and no one seemed to know how Bridge, Summer and wait list all stack up as top students were sent to all three piles.
