I wouldn’t worry about it too much. I did not receive my acceptance (OOS waiver, some additional money, honors college) until Jan/Feb a few years ago. My roommate got a very similar package (but no invitation to the honors college) and got his offer much earlier than I did.

OOS, 2060 SAT (760 Math, 610 Reading, 690 Writing), 750 Math II SAT II, 670 US History SAT II, Top 2% of my class of 600, 3.84 UW GPA, 4.71 W GPA, 10 APs by the time I graduate (school doesn’t offer IB), President of a club, National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Tons of volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, Numerous awards, etc.

Hope that helps! Good Luck!

Wow! Your stats are very similar to mine, sports_guy! I think we should get similar offers from Clemson so let me know when you hear back from them. And thanks for all of your feedback guys. I really hope I find out a decision soon.

When did you submit your application Mitch?

Not sure what the admissions process is at Clemson, but I know from prior experience that at some schools the timing can literally depend on which admissions officer is evaluating your application. My daughter applied to Clemson in mid-October and received her acceptance with OOS waiver in a little over 3 weeks. We were actually quite surprised that it was so quick!
I agree with proud_mom, a call to admissions would not be out of line. Alternatively, if you have the name of a specific admissions staff member that you have communicated with in the past, perhaps you could send an email detailing your question that way it would give him/her the opportunity to look into your file before responding. A phone call may generate a ‘stock’ response since the individual may or may not have access/visibility to your specific application. Good luck :)

I submitted my application fairly late. I sent most of the material in November, but I didn’t complete the entire application until early December.

Today is the day!!! I got my letter in the mail today and got accepted into Pre-Business with an OOS waiver of $56,000 ($14k per year)!!! I am so excited right now!!! I have three questions though: when will I find out about more scholarships? when will I hear back about honors program? and for housing, is it based on when you submitted your regular application or your housing application as far as priority housing is concerned? Thanks everyone!!!

Congratulations Clemsonfan92, I know how important this was for you and now you have it!

HI Clemsonfan92,

My D was accepted back in Nov. and has also applied for the Calhoun Honors Program. She also received the $14,000/yr. OOS scholarship. As far as I know, additional scholarship info won’t be available until spring, probably because FAFSA forms are needed to award some types of monies. Also, the FAFSA form determines need. I think that the FAFSA form for incoming freshman is due by March 1st. It’s very important that it is filed on time, early if possible. Your parents can start filling out the FAFSA form after January 1st.

From what my D told me, housing priority IS based on when you submitted your application, but if you get accepted to the Honors program, there are special dorms for Honors scholars. If you met the priority deadline of Dec. 1st for the Honors program, you will know by Feb. 15th.

Congrats on your acceptance and maybe you’ll see my D in the fall!

If you are accepted to the honors program, you have the opportunity to live in Holmes Hall: [The Suites : Clemson University](http://www.clemson.edu/campus-life/housing/residential-areas/residence-halls/suites.html)

Honors housing is based on the day you submitted your application to Clemson.

However, based on personal experience, if your son/daughter is a science/engineering major and wishes to live in the RISE (Engineering & Science Living Learning community) program, the acceptance policy is based on the day you submit your housing application.
