Clemson Acceptance

There seems to be some confusion over Clemson’s acceptance notifications. From closely reading their admisson materials, it would appear “rolling admission” is only for transfer students. All others will receive their notifications in mid-Feb (with the exception of provisional applications and perhaps apps from the most stellar students who may be notified as early as November).
This is a brutally long wait (6 months!) for the enthusiastic students who submitted their apps in August. Not even the Ivies take this long to deliver a decision. Heck, it’s 6 weeks for ED notices from many prestigious institutuions! Clemson needs to re-vamp their admissions schedule. This is a stressful time for these teens and the ridiculous wait time is an unnecessary burden.

My daughter applied 10/31 and was notified last week that she was admitted and received a scholarship.

@tzglass do you mind sharing her stats and if you are OOS?

I submitted my application almost 4 months ago. I have accepted that they will get to mine and send it out when they get there. There are literally thousands of people in the same situation. If I get it tomorrow that would be awesome, but if I don’t, good things come to those who wait.

I got my acceptance letter today. I’m an English major.
