i applied before dec. 1 and still haven’t heard back from clemson. should i be worried or does it mean i didn’t get a scholarship? act- 30, gpa unweighted- 3.95, heavily involved on campus and off
You shouldn’t be worried at all. By applying by December 1st, you are only guaranteeing that you’ll hear by February 15th. You still have a full month to hear back!! And although many believe that acceptance timing is tied to scholarship amount, I’ve had a couple friends get accepted in November with only the $7,500! Clemson really doesn’t have a rhyme or reason for acceptance timing!! Keep your hopes up!!
Your ACT is the same as my DDs and your GPA is higher and she got in with the $7500 scholarship, so I would think you would as well. What state are you in?
Florida! I find it strange why they release decisions all at different times
Okay thank you!
I’m from Florida and have the same ACT score as you and a lower GPA and got my acceptance last week with the $7,500 scholarship just like g8rmomk8ans daughter, you should be fine.
Getting concerned, My S18 applied in September, has 4.0 (weighted-last semester) and 1360 SAT along with being a legacy, varsity athlete, works as a tutor, he’s been accepted to Elon, Baylor and Cal Baptist (his only Ca school) we are in CA. Also still waiting on NC State, Furman, and just did last minute app to OSU (brother works for them).
@moparmom NC State decisions came out a couple days ago. Have him check his portal.
f
@moparmom Do not get concerned. The vast majority of Clemson acceptance letters are mailed the around February 15th.
Thank you, I did have him check but there was nothing… I would think at the least they would email him something.
@moparmom, my DS has similar stats and hasn’t heard anything. We are out of state and told by our state’s admissions counselor to just expect something in the mail the week of Feb. 15. Good luck!
Does anyone know how rejections work? I know for some schools they only send you a letter if you were accepted, and an email if you were rejected. Let me know
I believe Clemson does everything through the mail!! So acceptances, bridge letters, and rejections should all come in the mail!
I sure wish Clemson would send out notices earlier. At this point DS has been accepted and now attended the Admitted Students Day and being swayed toward USC. That’s great, but having to wait until mid-Feb. is not helping keep him excited about Clemson.
but in Mid Feb when the Clemson acceptance comes, he will feel that much better.
clemson is mailing out the next wave tomorrow so they’ll probably arrive on monday or tuesday
my college advisor called the clemson admissions and they told her that
Does Clemson inform acceptances, rejections, deferral, etc. all in the mail or email or what…???
@RicFlairDrip I am almost certain that letters and packets are mailed now and on their way. Sounds like those accepted would then expect an email shortly after expected receipt of mailing.
