clemson admission decisions class of 2022?

My D received her acceptance letter in Northern Virginia either Friday or Saturday (we were away). 30 ACT (31 super scored), 4.2 weighted GPA and H.S. does not rank. 4 years Varsity cheer (captain senior year) and a number of other extra curricular and volunteer activities. Health Sciences/Pre-professional with $7,500.00 per year scholarship.

@DDclass2018 Thank you for sharing your experience. That is hopeful.

Congrats, @collegeplease22 and @AWonderfulLife!!

Still waiting here …

Received email confirmation of acceptance today…

Well, shoot! Email just arrived saying “let’s get you enrolled”. Don’t know where the official mail is. Still scratching our heads over here.

Just got the notice from USPS…a white envelope from Clemson for dd. Assuming rejection. Anyone else get something similar this week? She applied in mid Jan.

@momof2022 wow! they’re already onto RD notifications? Clemson confirmed mailing here on 2/9 but still nothing via USPS has been received as if 2/23. Hope your letter holds good news!

@livefreeordie603 those are good scores. I think Nursing is pretty competitive at Clemson and that could be a factor but honestly the bar has been raised at Clemson so Naviance, etc are all off on the chances of getting in because the info they have is from past years. What would have gotten you in easily 10 years ago won’t cut it any longer. In 2006 they had 12000 applications to choose from. This year it’s over 30000 according to admissions and the # of students they have room for has not increased significanlty. I also think class rank is heavily considered by admissions now and maybe too much emphasis is on that aspect. Kids who went to a low high school and therefore are in the top 105 with stats lower than a kid who goes to a competitive high school will get the nod even with those lower stats. That does not seem fair to me but I am not in charge of admissions. My guess is they have maybe a few minutes to look at each application if they are having that sort of surge.

did anyone who applied after Feb 1 get merit money included in their acceptance or did it come later

D applied before 2/1 but got merit $ notification in acceptance packet. Excited for her to get $7500/year but still a lot more than some in-state options we’re hoping for in a few weeks. Still, she’s very excited to have been accepted!

what are some of your stats im from SC as well although I graduate in 2020 I would like some advice

awesome man what were some of your stats @DDclass2018

@butler2011 congrats, do you mind telling me a few stats of yours ?

@ERhinehart, my daughter’s stats were gpa uw 4.17, w 3.5, act 28, sat 1270. My son is class of 2020 too, and he’s leaning towards clemson too.

Daughter has 4.0 uw, 1550 SAT, 9 AP all 5&4s

My son applied RD rather late as he discovered Clemson’s architecture program after a few others. He is very interested and we do not want to visit until he is accepted … the drive is a bit long. His stats are right in the running it seems. His transcript was sent a little late, unfortunately, and we still have yet to hear from the school. Have responses been sent for architecture people? What are stats for students who were accepted? He has been accepted to some great schools already but wants to consider all. Clemson is definitely high on his list. The waiting is getting to all of us as he began sending applications out before November.

@vtmjt18 Clemson does not have ED and RD. They have a December 15th deadline for priority consideration with a guarantee to hear by February 15th. Anyone who applies after December 15th hears after Feb 15, but Clemson doesn’t specify when exactly that will be.

Can anyone give any insight as to when the next round of decisions from Clemson might come out? My DD applied at the end of January and has since been accepted with scholarship to VT. However she has decided that Clemson is her first choice and wants to wait a little longer before committing to VT. Just not sure how much longer we’ll be able to wait.

@sls1029 I suggest you call and speak with admissions. They are extremely helpful and I am sure will tell you exactly what you need to know.

anyone know if there are still acceptances coming for Calhoun honors college for those who applied after January ?

If you submitted between December 9th and March 1, you will be notified by April 1st.
