Clemson admission low gpa high SAT/ACT

Clemson admission low gpa high SAT/ACT
Hey everyone,

I really wanted to refrain from posting and asking about this but unfortunately I've been losing a lot of sleep over it lately.

I am currently junior.

The problem that I have is that I have a very low GPA while having high SAT/ACT scores.
I sincerely hope that my test scores will make up for my bad gpa but I'm really worried now because half the people say it will while the other half I asked says gpa is much more important.

I predict my gpa will increase to around a 3.6 average by next year since I will be getting my act together.
Clemson has always been my dream school and I really want to get in. I will be absolutely devastated if I don't make it.
& does writing a great essay help along with the fact Clemson looks at alumni relation and several family members attended ?
Stats:
In-State
Current gpa: 3.4 UW (3.5-3.6 avg by next year)

SAT:2320
PSAT:224
ACT:32

BEEXTREMELY HONEST/BLUNT

I don’t know if things have changed since last year but I have a friend who goes there now had like a 3.4 and maybe a 1800 at the very highest on the SAT and he’s out of state. Not much ECs, a good athlete but doesn’t play sports there now. I’m sure you’ll be fine

You have absolutely nothing to worry about. You will probably get a big scholarship and most likely a Calhoun Honors Invitation if you have taken AP classes.

^I don’t think she will get an invite to the Calhoun Honors College or a big scholarships (you’re really underestimating the students that get into Clemson haha) but I think if her grades are where she thinks they will be she should have nothing to worry about

As most said, you’ll have no problem at all.

Why not apply to some matches/reaches?

Regular Clemson: Safety

Your reach would be Calhoun @ Clemson…

You’re fine! That SAT will get you anywhere in SC. Apply to some reaches. Northwestern, UVA. Also look into University of Florida.
