Clemson Admission Low GPA High SAT ACT

<p>Hey everyone,</p>

<p>I really wanted to refrain from posting and asking about this but unfortunately I've been losing a lot of sleep over it lately.</p>

<p>I am currently junior.</p>

<p>The problem that I have is that I have a very low GPA while having high SAT/ACT scores.
I sincerely hope that my test scores will make up for my bad gpa but I'm really worried now because half the people say it will while the other half I asked says gpa is much more important.</p>

<p>I predict my gpa will increase to around a 3.6 average by next year since I will be getting my act together.
Clemson has always been my dream school and I really want to get in. I will be absolutely devastated if I don't make it.
& does writing a great essay help along with the fact Clemson looks at alumni relation and several family members attended ?

Current gpa: 3.4 UW (3.5-3.6 avg by next year)</p>

<p>Your SAT score is excellent and alumni relationship is definitely considered in the admission process so keep getting those grades up and you’ll make a good case for admissions (colleges like to see improvement in grades from freshman to senior year). I’d say Clemson is a low match for you. Clemson is definitely one of those schools where GPA is definitely important since they don’t really look at non-academic parts of your resume (like extracurriculars)</p>

<p>you seem like you havea good chance. sats are nice, gpa isn’t toooo low, but obviously if you can get it up that would def be rly helpful :)</p>
