Clemson Bridge Waitlist

My Son is on waitlist for Clemson Bridge Program. Does anyone know how many spots they offer for Waitlist. 200? and What are chances he will get in? Thanks for any feedback

When I called, the school said they usually move through the waitlist in the past…that was what they told me the day after it was filled. They said my son would be early on the waitlist if we signed up that day… if that helps.

Thank You!!

We are in the same boat. By the time we signed on to make the deposit for my daughter, they were all filled. There were 134 spots on the waitlist at the time. My husband spoke to Clemson admissions this morning in hopes that they might open a few more spots, especially since it filled up so quickly, but they haven’t done that in the past. Do you have any information on how to monitor your waitlist status?

Tgrmom-I think they are Going to send weekly emails and or texts to update status. I noticed people are still applying for wait list so that could be a good sign!!??
If there were 200 waitlist spots available, that would mean you are 66 on the list.

My son was bridged as well and he had good stats. He went to try and sign up for bridge, but was on the waitlist. He has other offers, so I’m not particularly worried, but it does frustrate us due to not having time to really think about the options without losing almost a grand. I believe Coach Swinney said it best, " Adversity is a great teacher" . I still bleed orange, but other colors will follow.

My Son said he received email today that said they would let him know something on Wednesday!

Son received email last night. There were 200 waitlist spots. They will email each Wednesday with updates.

Does anyone know how many kids they were able to move from the wait list in the past?

all spots were filled before we even go the letter telling us how to register and pay deposit. We received letter on Friday and the school said all spots were filled on Thursday. Very frustrating.

I agree that the way the Bridge program offers acceptance to so many without a chance to even sign up is very unfair. My child knew this was the case so we paid the deposit as soon as the office opened the next day. It is quite the scheme for making money. We have had friends on the waitlist the previous year and that kid didn’t make it into the program. I think he was #92 or the like. He ended up going to TCTC as a regular student. Saved him tons of money. The housing is outrageous and the Clemson fees to go to TCTC in the Bridge program are Highway robbery. So…If you are really sure you do not want to go anywhere else then you can enroll at TCTC as a regular student then transfer. P.S. Do not buy into the hype that, as a Bridge student, you will be a part of the Clemson community.

I have heard of several kids, in my hometown, who have been accepted from the waitlist.
