Hey! I’m a Senior at a high ranked public school in NC. My top choice is Clemson but I know at this point it is a bit of a reach
Here are my stats
GPA- 3.3 UW/ 3.8W
SAT- 1270
My dad, uncle, aunt, and grandma all went to Clemson.
I do competitive dance and work as an assistant at my dance studio 27hrs/week(I know Clemson doesn’t look much into EC’s though)
I’m a member of German club, FFA. NHS, NAHS, NTHS and am doing our school musical this year.
What do you think my chances are of getting in?
I put Heath Science as my major… would I have a better chance with a different major?
Is there another way of letting them know the alumni status besides what was already on the application? Also do you think I should try emailing admissions to change my major? Thanks!
@Collegereadyyy , keep us posted. I posted a new thread here last week but no responses Did you go to the Fall Blitz in October? I went to the Health Science (HS) presentation that day, 1270 is avg score of HS majors (1170 is avg across Clemson). HS is the 2nd most competitive major at Clemson (Sports Comm #1). HS only lets in 100 new students per year, which includes freshman and internal transfers. They receive 700+ applications per year. 35% of the ones admitted are out of state. So that means on avg 35 out of state students admitted to HS per year, of which some are internal transfers and some are incoming freshmen. Hope we both get in!
@ccawealthofinoI I did not attend the Fall Blitz in October but have heard that HS is a competitive major. I’m considering emailing the representative that came to my school earlier in the semester about possibly switching my major choice to food science/ nutrition. I’m worried about getting in and don’t want to kill my chances if HS is too competitive. I hope we both get in too!
