Clemson Class of 2015 Decisions

You may have selected a much smaller college who is necessarily much more selective.

Nxtchptr83, It seems that your ACT score was lower than the SAT/ACT scores of the previous two responses. Also, they could be factoring in how rigorous your course work was and/or how challenging your high school is in comparison to others.

Daughter accepted from out of state. 3.98 GPA, 1250/1960 SAT.

momoptd, Thanks for your reply…my ACT Score was the same as mdterps 44 after it is superscored, I go to a very challenging High School, ranked one of the best in North Carolina. I took a rigorous schedule 4 AP’s and 1 College Class and the rest all honors.

Daughter received an invitation to calhoun honors program last week through email…and then an actual acceptance to the college today through the the mail…but no mention of honors in the mail…is this normal…also if there was to be any scholarships offered would it have come with the acceptance letter

Accepted OOS (NJ)

4.23 WGPA
28 ACT / 30 ACT superscored

Accepted to Graphic Communications

Accepted Arch 1260/4.1 OOS

Waitlisted.
GPA W 3.7
UW 3.4
dual enrollment student
SAT 1190

does anyone know the statistics for being accepted after waitlisted?

Accepted to Engineering

OOS (CT)

WGPA 3.0113
ACT 31

GPA is low i know and I’m from public school. It is a very high ranked school but maybe it can give some hope to some others out there waiting to hear back

I’m still waiting on my letter… but they got my transcripts late (they lost em twice) and didn’t receive them until January. I’m hoping for an OOS scholarship, but Clemson doesn’t have majors that are strong that I’m considering…

Beautiful school though! I visited there last weekend. Good luck to everyone who’s waiting/gotten accepted!

Nxtchptr83, what major did you apply to?

cleaub: PreProfessional Health / per advice from Admissions 2nd / Pre-Business

Accepted! Pre-business

Out of State. 4.79/6 GPA (honors, about a B+) with 1280/1950 SATs. My grades from Junior year were rubbish, so it was a pleasant surprise! I’ve been accepted at other schools, and I’m waiting on more, but I’m looking forward to March when I’ll visit! Congrats to everyone.

Accepted to Pre-Business as well.

Out of State. 4.1 weighted, 3.3-3.4 unweighted. SATs were at like 1250/1860

Son accepted OOS
GPA 4.0, SAT 1160 ACT 24 A lot of wonderful extras, IB and AP classes
Very excited. We are going to visit next week.

My son was denied. He was pre-business OOS with a 3.3 UW GPA and an ACT of 24. Lots of AP/honors classes and good ECs. We thought the school was a stretch, so we weren’t that surprised. He has been accepted at 5 other schools, so we have a number of good choices.

accepted!

GPA (unweighted) - 3.89
ACT - 29

major - biology

-Bridge Programmed-

low gpa is the main reason for that, but 5 in AP Bio, and 3 APs this year, 1360/1940 SAT, 29 ACT. I’m also a volunteer firefighter, which i assume is a redeeming quality.

waitlisted with a 3.4 UW 4.0 W GPA

1270/1950 statistics
all honors/4 AP classes
very competitive school ranked top 25 in country, from west coast. any ideas of my likelihood of getting in?

razordad: Congrats! what is your sons major and what state are you in?
